Marketing, Events & Volunteer Coordinator

This position will be responsible for planning, overseeing and coordinate execution of all TARC events. Work closely with volunteers, building relationships and creating a positive community of advocates. Assist with overall marketing to further TARC’s mission of providing service, support and advocacy for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or requisite experience in Events and/or Volunteer Coordination, Public Relations and /or Marketing, Mass Media or related Field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially in dealing with diverse populations.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with managing working committees and volunteers preferred.
  • Experience with fundraising and/or event organization preferred.
  • Ability to document processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Accurate in all phases of fiscal and records management.
  • Social media management and/or graphic design (experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and/or Canva) preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

TARC, Inc. conducts background screenings and post-offer pre-employment drug testing.

Must have and maintain a Valid Kansas Driver’s License and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company’s insurance carrier
