TARC is seeking an efficient and detail-oriented person to join our Finance Team. The Assistant Finance Director position is responsible for performing accounting tasks in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles and within the limits of TARC policies. Position involves review of cash receipts and comparison to bank deposits and reviewing and posting sales journals. On a monthly basis, performs bank and investment reconciliations, as well as other funding reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries and completing closing process. It also includes monitoring accounts receivable, preparing and distributing monthly financial statements, maintaining information on allocations and depreciation schedules. The position will reconcile all asset, liability, and net assets accounts and will be responsible for preparing for the audit and working with auditors. External reporting responsibilities will include monthly sales tax return, monthly and quarterly grant reports and quarterly use tax return. This is a full-time position.
Job requirements:
- Master’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred) or requisite experience in business administration or accounting. Auditing experience required and payroll experience preferred.
- Five to seven years work experience at a professional/managerial level with a thorough knowledge of accounting and budgeting.
