Cinco de Mayo

We had lots of fun celebrating and learning about Cinco De Mayo. Throughout the week we learned to make tasty Mexican desserts. We tried our hand at homemade churros and sopapilla’s. They both turned out great and everyone enjoyed tasting the authentic pastries.
In art class we made Mexican folk art birds. Everyone loved learning about the art techniques and styles of the Hispanic culture.

We ended our Cinco De Mayo celebrations with making homemade flour tortillas and playing a traditional Mexican game, Loteria.

It was a fun week learning about new cultures, being exposed to wonderful music and celebrating with friends!
