And the Winners are…

TARC’S Annual Banquet was a huge success and was a great time by all that attended. This year Day Services had three award recipients. The three award winners were among their friends and family while being honored for their achievements.

Richard received the Ralph Fish-er award. This award recognizes a person that receives services who promotes great cheer, spreads kindness and can warm anyone’s heart with a smile. Richard has been described as beyond kind and generous with his compliments. If you are ever in the presence of Richard, you know you will leave with a smile on your face and in your heart!

Our next award winner was John. John was awarded the perseverance and Personal Growth Award. Life throws obstacles at us every day. John is a reminder to all of us that, with a positive attitude, all obstacles can be overcome. One of the biggest obstacles John has conquered was quitting smoking. John has been cigarette free for 2 years. While John is at Day Services he keeps busy by helping out wherever he is needed. He enjoys assisting with all of the laundry needs. John has a pep in his step and is feeling better then ever.

Tonja was honored for her volunteerism. This award recognizes an individual supported who gives back with a gracious smile, positive attitude and a commitment to serve the needs of others. Tonja volunteers at the Helping Hands Humane Society on a weekly basis. While she is there she makes sure that the cats are taken care of lovingly. She ensures they have a clean and comfortable place to sleep as well as fresh water and food.
