Happy Anniversary, TARC!

Happy 65th Anniversary, TARC

TARC Recently celebrated it’s 65th Anniversary. We celebrated the monumental day with a fun birthday party!

On February 8, 1954 a group of 32 concerned parents met to solve a mutual problem, they wanted to improve the lives of their children with intellectual disabilities.

In our first year, TARC served 24 children between the ages of 5 and 18 in a six room school.

TARC continued to evolve as the needs of the children evolved. We now serve more than 1,300 children, families and adults through our services that include: Children’s Services, Assistive Technology, Feeding Clinic, TARC Industries and Employment Services, Case Management, Day Services and Self-determination.

To celebrate this milestone people supported designed and created Valentines cards to send out to our Founding Families family members. It was a gesture to thank them for all of the work they and their families did to establish such a great agency.
