Celebrating Kansas Day!

Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating their states birthday. Throughout the week we discussed Kansas History as well as historical and interesting places to visit in Kansas. We made homemade bread and butter to commemorate the special day.

It was neat for people supported to see the process of how butter was made. They loved tasting the warm wheat bread with the tasty home-made butter. Kansas day wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t watch the movie the Wizard of Oz. Cooking class participants made sure to make an extra special sun-flower birthday cake to complete the fun filled day!
