We love our Volunteers!

TARC was founded 65 years ago thanks to a group of creative and dedicated volunteers. We continue to rely on volunteers with a multitude of talents to keep this organization strong and successful.

Parents & Children Together (PACT)

PACT is looking for volunteers who can assist with childcare/activities for children ages birth to five years old. PACT is held once a month on the third Thursday of the month at TARC. The PACT program runs from 10 to 11:30 am here at TARC.

We ask volunteers to arrive as early as 9:30 am. There is a nursery area for the infants and a variety of fun, engaging and educational activities for the toddlers and older children.

SPARKK

SPARKK was developed in collaboration with TARC’s Children’s Services and the Shawnee County CDDO, to provide an opportunity to meet the needs of parents with children with disabilities between the ages of six months and 16 years of age. This program allows the caregiver some down time, while knowing their children are being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.

Volunteers are needed to help with the childcare and activities on SPARKK evenings. SPARKK is held two Friday evenings per month from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm at TARC, 2701 SW Randolph.
