Join us for TARC’s 20th Annual Winter Wonderland Event this year! With over, 1 million dazzling holiday lights you can enjoy a scenic two-mile drive at Lake Shawnee Campground. Winter Wonderland is will open on November 22, 2017 and will be open every night from 6 to 10 pm until December 31, 2017! A suggested $10 donation gets you through the gate to enjoy our brightest year yet! The event is our the largest fundraiser of the year and enables us to continue to enhances the lives of people affected by intellectual, developmental and related disabilities. Winter Wonderland 5K

DATE: Join us next year! SITE: Winter Wonderland – Lake Shawnee Campground. Race will begin and end at Reynolds Lodge on Tinman Circle, 3315 SE Tinman Circle. Topeka, KS 66605. Click here for directions. Click here for Course Map. TIME: Check-in/Registration: 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Race Time: 5:30 p.m. Award Ceremony: 6:15 p.m. FEE: $25 per person. Price includes race fees, awards, Winter Wonderland admittance and post event snacks/refreshments. The first 200 participants to register will receive a commemorative item. DEADLINE: Thursday, November 19 at 5:00 p.m. Race day registrations will be accepted with a $5 late fee. The race will begin and end at Reynolds Lodge on Tinman Circle. This is a family event, therefore strollers and pets are welcome. Race will be chip timed. Click here for Course Map. PLEASE NOTE: This is a night race therefore some areas of the route will not be well lit. Please wear Reflective running gear and use a flashlight when you are on the course. Dress warm and be prepared for cold weather. RACE DAY: Check-in/Registration will take place at Reynolds Lodge beginning at 3:30 p.m. Following the run, there will be an awards ceremony with refreshments and snacks at Reynolds Lodge. Journey of Hope

TARC hosted the Journey of Hope cyclists on Sunday July 17,2016. Topeka Community members were¬†invited to welcomed the Pi Kappa Phi cyclists at the TARC Administrative offices at 2701 SW Randolph Avenue.¬† Cyclists are arrived around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. They left TARC’s Administrative Offices on Monday July 13 at 6:00 a.m. The Journey of Hope is a cross-country bicycle trek beginning in San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington and ending together with all teams in Washington, D.C.. The event raises funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Simply put, the Journey of Hope is a ride with a purpose. Special Thanks to all of our contributors who helped make their visit so hospitable. Including: Parrish Hotels and Jason’s Deli.
