Children’s Residential is a lifestyle arrangement that embraces the belief that all children deserve to be active participants in a family and the community in which they live.
We seek to match children who have an intellectual or developmental disability, who need out of home placement, with supportive families in a nurturing home environment. The natural family may choose to be as involved as they wish regarding educational, medical and other needs of the child. The natural family is encouraged and supported in having regular visits with their child.
Our Specialized Homes:
- Bridge the needs between a child with a disability and a family interested in supporting those needs.
- Provide essential supports to children and are referred to as Resource Families.
- Are licensed through the Kansas Department of Children and Families with TARC as a Child Placement Agency.
- Receive guidance, education and support from a full time social worker.
Children between the ages of 5 and 22 who are eligible for the HCBS-I/DD Waiver through their local CDDO may be eligible for this program.
What Parents are Saying...
“I’ve been a foster parent for nine years and have been through other agencies. TARC is by far superior.” – Foster Parent
